एतस्मिन्नन्तरे वीर: सहदेवो जनाधिप । अपोवाह रथेनाजोौ पार्षत॑ शत्रुतापनम्,नरेश्वर! इसी बीचमें वीर सहदेव शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले धृष्टद्युम्नको अपने रथके द्वारा रणभूमिमें अन्यत्र हटा ले गये
etasminn antare vīraḥ sahadevo janādhipa | apovāha rathenājau pārṣataṃ śatrutāpanam ||
اے نرادھپ! اسی دوران بہادر سہ دیو نے دشمنوں کو ستانے والے پارشت دھرشتدیومن کو اپنے رتھ کے ذریعے میدانِ جنگ سے ہٹا کر دوسری جگہ لے گیا۔
संजय उवाच
Even in righteous warfare, discernment and protection of crucial allies are part of dharma: courage is not mere persistence in danger, but also timely withdrawal and repositioning to prevent avoidable ruin and to sustain the larger cause.
