आगच्छमानांस्तान् संख्ये प्रहशन् विजयैषिण: । दधारैको रणे कर्णो जलौघानिव पर्वत:,युद्धस्थलमें विजयकी अभिलाषा लेकर हर्ष और उललासके साथ आते हुए उन वीरोंको रणभूमिमें अकेले कर्णने उसी प्रकार रोक दिया, जैसे जलके प्रवाहोंको पर्वत रोक देता है

āgacchamānāṁs tān saṅkhye prahaśan vijayaiṣiṇaḥ |
dadhāraiko raṇe karṇo jalaughān iva parvataḥ ||
فتح کی آرزو لیے خوش و خرم بڑھتے ہوئے اُن سورماؤں کو میدانِ جنگ میں کرن نے تنِ تنہا روک لیا—جیسے پہاڑ پانی کے سیلابی ریلوں کو تھام لیتا ہے۔
