अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च

अत्यद्भुतमिदं पार्थ तव पश्यामि संयुगे । अतिशेते हि यत्र त्वां द्रोणपुत्रोडद्य भारत,तत्पश्चात्‌ क्रोधमें भरे हुए श्रीकृष्ण उस समय अर्जुनसे प्रेमपूर्वक बोले--'पार्थ! युद्धस्थलमें तुम्हारा यह उपेक्षायुक्त अद्भुत बर्ताव देख रहा हूँ। भारत! आज द्रोणपूत्र अश्वृत्थामा तुमसे सर्वथा बढ़ता जा रहा है

Transliteration

atyadbhutam idaṁ pārtha tava paśyāmi saṁyuge | atiśete hi yatra tvāṁ droṇaputro ’dya bhārata ||

Translation

سنجے نے کہا—“اے پارتھ! اس میدانِ جنگ میں میں تم میں ایک نہایت حیرت انگیز بات دیکھ رہا ہوں۔ اے بھارت! آج درون پتر اشوتھاما صاف طور پر تم پر برتری حاصل کرتا جا رہا ہے۔”
