Arjuna’s resolve for Karṇa’s defeat
te vadhyamānāḥ samare mumucus taṃ rathottamam | āyudhāni ca sarvāṇi visraṣṭam upacakramuḥ ||

The verse highlights how, when overwhelmed in conflict, combatants may abandon position and act from urgency rather than composure—an ethical reminder that war compresses judgment and can push warriors toward desperate, indiscriminate exertion of force.
Under heavy arrow-strikes in the battle, a group of fighters withdraws from (abandons) an excellent chariot associated with Arjuna and then tries to unleash all their weapons, indicating a sudden tactical shift under pressure.
