The verse highlights how collective morale and allegiance to a guiding leader (Keśava) can intensify resolve in conflict; it also reflects the warrior-code emphasis on courage, public proclamation, and psychological dominance through battle-cries.
Sañjaya describes the battlefield moment when groups of warriors, after forcefully engaging and restraining opponents, roar like lions; simultaneously, others shout acclaim for Keśava (Kṛṣṇa), amplifying the tumult and signaling renewed aggression and confidence.
