Dharma-rahasya Instruction: Vows, Truth, and Non-injury
दृष्टवा कर्ण समायान्तं भीम: क्रोधसमन्वित: । मतिं चक्रे विनाशाय कर्णस्य भरतर्षभ,भरतश्रेष्ठ! कर्णको आते देख क्रोधमें भरे हुए भीमसेनने उसके विनाशका विचार किया
dṛṣṭvā karṇa samāyāntaṃ bhīmaḥ krodhasamanvitaḥ | matiṃ cakre vināśāya karṇasya bharatarṣabha ||
اے بھرت کے سَردار! کرن کو آتے دیکھ کر غصّے سے بھرے ہوئے بھیم سین نے کرن کے ہلاک کرنے کا پختہ ارادہ کر لیا۔
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores how anger in warfare can crystallize into a fixed resolve to destroy, warning that krodha easily turns strategic action into personal vengeance—an ethical pressure-point repeatedly examined in the Mahābhārata.
As Karṇa advances on the battlefield, Bhīma sees him and, inflamed with rage, decides to bring about Karṇa’s destruction; Sañjaya reports this to Dhṛtarāṣṭra.
