मुष्टियुद्धे नियुद्धं च देहपाप्मासुनाशनम् । दोनों दलोंके सैनिक एक-दूसरेके केश पकड़कर खींचते

muṣṭiyuddhe niyuddhaṃ ca dehapāpmāsunāśanam |
مُشتی جنگ اور قریب کی گتھم گتھا میں وہ معرکہ جسم، جان اور گناہ کا نِست و نابود کرنے والا بن گیا۔ دونوں لشکروں کے سپاہی ایک دوسرے کے بال پکڑ کر کھینچتے، دانتوں سے کاٹتے، ناخنوں سے نوچتے، مُکّوں سے مارتے اور پہلوانوں کی طرح باہم کشتی کرنے لگتے تھے۔
