कर्णपर्व — द्विचक्रिकी युद्धपरिस्थिति: धृष्टद्युम्न- द्रौणि-संघर्षः तथा अर्जुन-रक्षणम्
Chapter 42
सखिभावेन सौहार्दान्मित्रभावेन चैव हि । कारणैस्त्रिभिरेतैस्त्वं शल्य जीवसि साम्प्रतम्
sakhibhāvena sauhārdān mitrabhāvena caiva hi | kāraṇais tribhir etais tvaṃ śalya jīvasi sāmpratam ||
“اے شلیہ! تم اب تک تین سببوں سے زندہ ہو—اوّل یہ کہ میرے سارَتھی بن کر تم رفاقت کے بندھن میں آ گئے؛ دوم یہ کہ حسنِ نیت سے میں نے تمہیں معاف کیا؛ اور سوم یہ کہ میرے دل میں دُریودھن کے مقصد کی تکمیل کا خیال ہے۔ انہی تین سببوں سے تمہیں اب تک بخشا گیا ہے۔”
