कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

ततो भूयोअब्रवीद्‌ देवो देवानिन्द्रपुरोगमान्‌

tato bhūyo ’bravīd devo devān indrapurogāmān | tataḥ mahādevaḥ punar indra-ādi-devatābhyaḥ uvāca—“śāyad etān daityān na mārayeyuḥ” iti matvā yuṣmābhiḥ kathaṃcid api śoko na kartavyaḥ | yūyaṃ asurān etena bāṇena “mṛtān eva” manyadhvam ||

پھر اس دیوتا نے اندرا کی قیادت والے دیوتاؤں سے دوبارہ کہا—“یہ سوچ کر کہ ‘شاید یہ دَیتیہ قتل نہ ہوں’ کسی طرح بھی غم نہ کرو۔ اس تیر سے اسوروں کو گویا پہلے ہی ہلاک سمجھو۔”
