Adhyāya 18 — Sequential Duels and Formation Pressure
Ulūka–Yuyutsu; Śakuni–Sutasoma; Kṛpa–Dhṛṣṭadyumna; Kṛtavarmā–Śikhaṇḍin
साश्चपत्तिद्विपरथं महाशस्त्रौ्सम्प्लवम् | सहसा संतितीर्षन्तं पार्थ शस्त्रास्त्रसेतुना
sāśvapattidviparathaṁ mahāśastraughasamplavam | sahasā santitīrṣantaṁ pārtha śastrāstrasētunā ||
گھوڑوں، پیادوں، ہاتھیوں اور رتھوں سے بھرا ہوا، اور عظیم ہتھیاروں کے سیلاب سے اُبلتا وہ لشکری سمندر پارتھ اپنے ہی استر-شستر کو پل بنا کر فوراً پار کرنا چاہتا تھا۔ اسی لمحے شری کرشن نے کہا—“اے بےگناہ پارتھ! یہ کیسا کھیل ہے؟ پہلے ان سمشپتکوں کا قلع قمع کرو، پھر کرن کے ودھ کے لیے تیزی اور عزم کے ساتھ جُت جاؤ۔”
