द्रोणविक्रमदर्शनम् / The Display of Droṇa’s Onslaught and the Debate on Pāṇḍava Regrouping

वृकस्तु परमक्रुद्धो द्रोणं षष्ट्या स्तनान्तरे । विव्याध बलवान राज॑स्तदद्भुतभिवाभवत्‌,नरेश्वर! बलवान्‌ वृकने अत्यन्त कुपित होकर द्रोणाचार्यकी छातीमें साठ बाण मारे। वह अद्भुत-सी बात थी

vṛkastu paramakruddho droṇaṃ ṣaṣṭyā stanāntare | vivyādha balavān rājan tad adbhutam ivābhavat ||

تب انتہائی غضب میں بھڑکے ہوئے طاقتور وِرک نے، اے بادشاہ، درون آچاریہ کے سینے میں ساٹھ تیروں سے زور سے چھید دیا۔ وہ منظر گویا ایک عجوبہ معلوم ہوا۔
