प्राग्ज्योतिषादनु नृप: कौसल्यो5थ बृहदूबल: । मेकलै: कुरुविन्दैश्व त्रैपुरैश्न समन्वित:,प्राग्ज्योतिषपुरनरेशके पीछे कोसलदेशके राजा बृहदूबल थे, जो मेकल, कुरुविन्द तथा त्रिपुराके सैनिकोंके साथ थे
prāgjyotiṣād anu nṛpaḥ kausalyas tathā bṛhadūbalaḥ | mekalaiḥ kuruvindaiś ca traipuraiś ca samanvitaḥ ||
پراگجیوَتِش کے راجا کے بعد کوسل کے راجا برہدبل آگے بڑھے؛ ان کے ساتھ میکل، کُروِند اور تریپور کے لشکر تھے۔
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the web of alliances and obligations that pull many rulers into war. Ethically, it points to how political loyalty and duty can entangle entire regions in a conflict whose consequences extend far beyond the principal disputants.
Sañjaya is enumerating the kings and forces assembled for battle. Here he notes that after the ruler of Prāgjyotiṣa, the Kosala king Bṛhadūbala arrives, accompanied by contingents from Mekala, Kuruvinda, and Tripura.
