ततो भीष्मविनिर्मुक्ता रुक्मपुड्खा: शिलाशिता: । अभ्यघ्नन् समरे भीम॑ तैलधौता: सुतेजना:,उस समय पत्थरपर रगड़कर तेज किये हुए, सुवर्णमय पंखसे युक्त और तेलके धोये तीखे बाण भीष्मके हाथोंसे छूटकर समरभूमिमें भीमसेनको चोट पहुँचाने लगे
tato bhīṣma-vinirmuktā rukma-puṅkhāḥ śilāśitāḥ | abhyaghnan samare bhīmaṃ tailadhautāḥ sutejanāḥ ||
تب بھیشم کے ہاتھ سے چھوٹے ہوئے سنہری پَر والے، پتھر پر تیز کیے گئے اور تیل سے چمکائے ہوئے نہایت تیز تیر میدانِ جنگ میں بھیم سین کو لگنے لگے۔
