भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)

वध्यमानं ततस्तत्र शरै: पार्थस्य संयुगे | दुद्राव कौरवं सैन्यं विषादभयकम्पितम्‌,तब पार्थके बाणोंसे संग्रामभूमिमें पीड़ित हुई कौरव-सेना विषाद और भयसे काँपती हुई इधर-उधर भाग चली

vadhyamānaṁ tatastatra śaraiḥ pārthasya saṁyuge | dudrāva kauravaṁ sainyaṁ viṣādabhayakampitam ||

سنجے نے کہا—پھر میدانِ جنگ میں پرتھ کے تیروں سے کچلی جاتی ہوئی کوروؤں کی فوج غم اور خوف سے لرزتی ہوئی صفیں توڑ کر ہر سمت بھاگ نکلی۔
