Educational Q&A

Even amid war, proper conduct is maintained: Yudhiṣṭhira proceeds only after respectfully obtaining Kṛpa’s assent, reflecting dharma through deference to elders and disciplined decision-making.

Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that, after hearing Gautama’s words, Yudhiṣṭhira takes leave of Kṛpa and goes toward Śalya, the king of Madra, indicating a move to consult or engage with Śalya in the unfolding war context.
