इति गुह्मतमं* शास्त्रमिदमुक्ते मयानघ* | एतद्‌ बुद॒ध्वा बुद्धिमान्‌ स्यात्‌ कृतकृत्यश्ष भारत,हे निष्पाप अर्जुन! इस प्रकार यह अति रहस्य-युक्त गोपनीय शास्त्र मेरे द्वारा कहा गया, इसको तत्त्वसे जानकर मनुष्य ज्ञानवान्‌ और कृतार्थ हो जाता है?

iti guhyatamaṁ śāstram idam uktaṁ mayānagha | etad buddhvā buddhimān syāt kṛtakṛtyaś ca bhārata ||

اے بے گناہ! اس طرح یہ نہایت رازدار شاستر میں نے کہا۔ اسے حقیقتاً سمجھ کر انسان دانا ہو جاتا ہے، اور اے بھارت! کِرتکِرتیہ—یعنی اپنا فرض پورا کر چکا—بن جاتا ہے۔
