कर्मयोग–ज्ञानयज्ञ–अवतारोपदेश

Karma-Yoga, Jñāna-Yajña, and Avatāra Instruction

सम्बन्ध-- यहॉतक भगवान्‌ने सांख्ययोगके सिद्धान्तसे तथा क्षात्रधर्मकी दृष्टिसे युद्धका औचित्य सिद्ध करके अर्जुनकों समतापूर्वक युद्ध करनेके लिये आज्ञा दी! अब कर्मयोगके सिद्धान्तसे युद्धका औचित्य बतलानेके लिये कर्मयोगके वर्णनकी प्रस्तावना करते हैं-- एषा ते5भिहिता सांख्ये बुद्धियोंगे त्विमां शूणू । बुद्धया युक्तो यया पार्थ कर्मबन्धं प्रहास्यसि,हे पार्थ! यह बुद्धि तेरे लिये ज्ञानयोगके विषयमें कही गयी और अब तू इसको कर्मयोगके विषयमें सुन*--जिस बुद्धिसे युक्त हुआ तू कर्मोंके बन्धन-को भलीभाति त्याग देगा यानी सर्वथा नष्ट कर डालेगा

eṣā te 'bhihitā sāṅkhye buddhir yoge tv imāṃ śṛṇu | buddhyā yukto yayā pārtha karma-bandhaṃ prahāsyasi ||

سنجے نے کہا—یہ فہم تمہیں سانکھیا (امتیازی معرفت) کے نقطۂ نظر سے سمجھایا گیا؛ اب اسے یوگ، یعنی عمل کی ریاضت، کے طور پر سنو۔ اے پارتھ! اس بصیرت سے آراستہ ہو کر تم عمل سے پیدا ہونے والی بندش کو پوری طرح جھٹک دو گے—فرض ادا کرو گے مگر اس کے نتائج کی زنجیر میں گرفتار نہ ہو گے۔
