अस्माकं तु विशिष्टा ये तान् निबोध द्विजोत्तम | नायका मम सैन्यस्य संज्ञार्थ तान् ब्रवीमि ते
asmākaṁ tu viśiṣṭā ye tān nibodha dvijottama | nāyakā mama sainyasya saṁjñārthaṁ tān bravīmi te ||
سنجے نے کہا—لیکن اے بہترینِ دُو بار جنم لینے والے! ہمارے پَکش کے جو نمایاں لوگ ہیں، اُنہیں بھی جان لیجئے۔ آپ کی واضح پہچان کے لیے میں اپنی فوج کے سرداروں کے نام آپ کو بتاتا ہوں۔
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical and practical need for clear discernment in conflict: knowing who the principal leaders are is essential for understanding responsibility, strategy, and the unfolding consequences of war.
Sanjaya transitions from describing one side’s notable warriors to identifying the eminent leaders on ‘our’ side, announcing that he will list the commanders of his army for the listener’s clear recognition.
