Kurukṣetra-sainyadarśana and Arjuna-viṣāda (धर्मक्षेत्रे समवेता युयुत्सवः — अर्जुनविषाद)

संजय उवाच ततः पार्थस्य विज्ञाय भक्ति मानववत्सला | अन्तरिक्षगतोवाच गोविन्दस्याग्रत: स्थिता,संजय कहते हैं--राजन्‌! अर्जुनके इस भक्तिभावका अनुभव करके मनुष्योंपर वात्सल्य-भाव रखनेवाली माता दुर्गा अन्तरिक्षमें भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णके सामने आकर खड़ी हो गयीं और इस प्रकार बोलीं

sañjaya uvāca tataḥ pārthasya vijñāya bhaktiṃ mānavavatsalā | antarīkṣagatovāca govindasyāgrataḥ sthitā ||

سنجے نے کہا—تب پارتھ کی بھکتی کو جان کر انسانوں پر شفقت رکھنے والی ماتا دُرگا آسمان میں ظاہر ہوئیں، گووند کے سامنے کھڑی ہو کر اس طرح بولیں۔
