यावत् तिष्ठन्ति समरे हतशेषा: सहोदरा: । नृपाश्न बहवो राजंस्तावत् संधि: प्रयुज्यताम्,“राजन! इस समरभूमिमें मरनेसे बचे हुए तुम्हारे सहोदर भाई जबतक मौजूद हैं और जबतक बहुत-से नरेश भी जीवन धारण कर रहे हैं, तभीतक तुम अर्जुनके साथ संधि कर लो

yāvat tiṣṭhanti samare hataśeṣāḥ sahodarāḥ |
nṛpāś ca bahavo rājan tāvat sandhiḥ prayujyatām ||
سنجے نے کہا—اے راجن! جب تک میدانِ جنگ میں قتل و غارت سے بچ جانے والے تمہارے سگے بھائی قائم ہیں، اور جب تک بہت سے بادشاہ زندہ ہیں، تب تک ارجن کے ساتھ صلح کی کوشش کرو۔
