Transliteration

sampatantam abhiprekṣya mahātmānaṃ pitāmaham

Translation

سنجے نے کہا—جب انہوں نے عظیم النفس پِتامہ بھیشم کو میدانِ جنگ میں تیزی سے اترتے دیکھا تو سب کی نگاہیں انہی پر جم گئیں؛ جنگ کی خونریزی کے بیچ بھی وہ قابلِ تعظیم بزرگ اپنے منتخب سْوَدھرم کے مطابق فرض کی ادائیگی کو بڑھتے دکھائی دیے۔
