नेमिनिहादिसंतापो महास्त्रोदयपावक: । चित्रचापमहाज्वालो वीरक्षयमहेन्धन:
sañjaya uvāca | neminihādisantāpo mahāstrodayapāvakaḥ | citracāpamahājvālo vīrakṣayamahendhanaḥ | atāḍayan raṇe bhīṣmaṃ sahitāḥ sarvasṛñjayāḥ |
سنجے نے کہا—رتھ کے پہیوں کی گرج جس کی تپش تھی، مہااستروں کا ظہور جس کی آگ تھا، رنگا رنگ کمانیں جس کی بڑی لپٹیں تھیں اور سورماؤں کی ہلاکت جس کا عظیم ایندھن—ایسے دہکتے شعلے کی مانند متحد ہو کر تمام سِرِنجَی رزم میں ہر سمت سے بھیشم پر ضربیں لگانے لگے۔
