स विशीर्णतनुत्राण: पीडितो बहुभिस्तदा

sa viśīrṇa-tanutrāṇaḥ pīḍito bahubhis tadā | atāḍayan raṇe bhīṣmaṃ sahitāḥ sarva-sṛñjayāḥ || na vivyathe tadā bhīṣmo bhidyamāneṣu marmaṣu |

سنجے نے کہا—اس وقت بھیشم کا زرہ بکھر چکا تھا اور بہت سے جنگجوؤں کے واروں سے ان کا جسم سخت دباؤ میں تھا؛ پھر بھی تمام سِرِنجَی ایک ساتھ متحد ہو کر میدانِ جنگ میں بھیشم پر بار بار ضربیں لگانے لگے۔ ان کے مَرم مقامات چھیدے اور پھٹے جا رہے تھے، مگر بھیشم درد سے نہ ڈگمگائے—کشَتریہ دھرم کے عزم میں ثابت قدم رہے۔
