वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights yathānyāya—acting in accordance with propriety and dharma—through respectful reception of family members and the ethical practice of gift-giving as a sign of honor, affection, and social responsibility.
Subhadrā and the other Kuru women are formally greeted as is proper; afterward Kuntī presents them (notably two principal ladies) with assorted jewels, marking a courteous and dharmic exchange within the royal household.
