सर्वाश्चन ताननुययौ यावदावस थानू् प्रति । स्वयमेव महातेजा दम्भं त्यक्त्वा युधिष्ठिर:
sarvāś ca na tān anuyayau yāvad āvasthānūn prati | svayam eva mahātejā dambhaṃ tyaktvā yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
مَہاتَیجَسوی یُدھِشٹھِر نے غرور چھوڑ کر خود اُن سب کے ساتھ ساتھ چلتے ہوئے دستور کے مطابق مہمان نوازی کی؛ اور جب تک اُن کے لیے مناسب قیام گاہیں ٹھیک طرح مہیا نہ ہو گئیں، وہ اُن کے پاس ہی رہا۔
वैशम्पायन उवाच
A ruler’s true greatness is shown by humility and service: abandoning dambha (ostentation), the king personally ensures guests are honored and properly settled, embodying dharma through attentive care.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Yudhiṣṭhira himself accompanies the arriving people/guests and continues with them until appropriate lodging arrangements are made, personally overseeing their reception and comfort.
