Abhimanyu’s Śrāddha; Vyāsa’s Assurance of the Unborn Heir (अभिमन्योः श्राद्धं तथा गर्भरक्षणोपदेशः)

ईदृशो मर्त्यधर्मोडयं मा शुचो यदुनन्दिनि । पुत्रो हि तव दुर्धर्ष: सम्प्राप्त: परमां गतिम्‌,“यदुनन्दिनि! मृत्युलोकमें जन्म लेनेवाले मनुष्योंका धर्म ही ऐसा है--उन्हें एक-न-एक दिन मृत्युके वशमें होना ही पड़ता है, इसलिये शोक न करो। तुम्हारा दुर्जय पुत्र परम गतिको प्राप्त हुआ है

īdṛśo martyadharmo 'yaṃ mā śuco yadunandini | putro hi tava durdharṣaḥ samprāptaḥ paramāṃ gatim ||

وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا—“اے یَدُو-نَندِنی! مَرتیہ لوک میں جنم لینے والوں کا یہی دھرم ہے—ایک دن موت کے قبضے میں آنا ہی پڑتا ہے۔ اس لیے غم نہ کرو۔ تمہارا ناقابلِ مغلوب بیٹا اعلیٰ ترین گتی کو پہنچ گیا ہے۔”
