वैशम्पायन उवाच उत्तड़कस्तु तथोक्त: स जगाम भरतर्षभ | मदयन्तीं च दृष्टवा स ज्ञापयत्‌ स्वप्रयोजनम्‌,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--भरतभूषण! राजाके ऐसा कहनेपर उत्तंक मुनि महारानी मदयन्तीके पास गये और उनसे अपने आनेका प्रयोजन बतलाया

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Uttaṅkastu tathoktaḥ sa jagāma bharatarṣabha | Madayantīṃ ca dṛṣṭvā sa jñāpayat svaprayojanam ||

Translation

ویشَمپایَن نے کہا—اے بھرت شریشٹھ! جب بادشاہ نے یوں کہا تو مُنی اُتَّنک رانی مدیَنتی کے پاس گیا۔ اسے دیکھ کر اس نے اپنے آنے کا مقصد بیان کیا۔
