तस्य सर्वस्य विधिवद् विधानमुपदिश्यते । शृणु मे गदतो भद्ठे रहस्यमिदमद्धुतम्,भद्रे! उस सबके विधि-विधानका उपदेश किया जाता है। तुम मेरे मुखसे इस अद्भुत रहस्यको सुनो
tasya sarvasya vidhivad vidhānam upadiśyate | śṛṇu me gadataḥ bhadre rahasyam idam adbhutam ||
اے بھدرے! اس سب کا طریقۂ کار قاعدے اور رسم کے مطابق سکھایا جا رہا ہے۔ سنو، جب میں بیان کرتا ہوں—میرے منہ سے اس عجیب و غریب راز کی تعلیم سن لو۔
ब्राह्मण उवाच
That actions—especially those with moral or ritual weight—should be performed vidhivat, i.e., according to proper rule and method, and that the speaker is about to disclose an inner or ‘secret’ rationale (rahasya) behind the procedure.
A Brahmin speaker turns to an addressed woman (‘bhadre’) and announces that he will now explain the correct regulations and method for the matter under discussion, inviting her to listen to an extraordinary, confidential teaching.
