Mokṣa-dharma Yoga-Upadeśa: Equanimity, Sense-Restraint, and Vision of the Ātman (आत्मदर्शन-योगोपदेशः)
इत्युक्त:स तदा कृष्ण मया शिष्यो महातपा: । अगच्छत यथाकामं ब्राह्मण: संशितव्रत:,श्रीकृष्ण! मेरे इस प्रकार कहनेपर वह कठोर व्रतका पालन करनेवाला मेरा महातपस्वी शिष्य ब्राह्मण काश्यप इच्छानुसार अपने अभीष्ट स्थानको चला गया
ity uktaḥ sa tadā kṛṣṇa mayā śiṣyo mahātapāḥ | agacchat yathākāmaṃ brāhmaṇaḥ saṃśitavrataḥ ||
اے کرشن! جب میں نے یوں کہا تو میرا وہ عظیم تپسوی شاگرد—پختہ اور منضبط ورتوں والا برہمن—اسی وقت اپنی مرضی کے مطابق اپنے پسندیدہ مقام کی طرف روانہ ہو گیا۔
ब्राह्मण उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined conduct (saṃśitavrata) and the autonomy of a spiritually accomplished person: after receiving instruction, the ascetic disciple proceeds without attachment, acting in accordance with his resolved purpose.
The speaker (a Brāhmaṇa) tells Kṛṣṇa that, after he spoke to his disciple, the great ascetic Brāhmaṇa departed at once, going freely to the place he intended.
