अध्याय ९ — धृतराष्ट्रस्य युधिष्ठिरं प्रति राजनित्युपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel on Royal Policy to Yudhiṣṭhira
वैशम्पायन उवाच तस्य तद् वचन धर्म्यमनुमान्य गुणोत्तरम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca tasya tad vacanaṃ dharmyam anumānya guṇottaram
ویشَمپاین نے کہا—اس کے اُن دھارمک اور اعلیٰ اوصاف سے آراستہ کلمات کو درست جان کر سب نے ان کی تائید کی، اور اسی کے مطابق پختہ ارادہ کرکے آگے بڑھے۔
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Speech aligned with dharma and enriched by good qualities deserves assent; ethical counsel is validated not merely by authority but by its righteousness and virtue.
