अध्याय ९ — धृतराष्ट्रस्य युधिष्ठिरं प्रति राजनित्युपदेशः

Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel on Royal Policy to Yudhiṣṭhira

सुसूक्ष्मं च व्यलीकं ते सपुत्रस्य न विद्यते । यत्‌ तु ज्ञातिविमर्देडस्मिन्नात्थ दुर्योधन प्रति

susūkṣmaṃ ca vyalīkaṃ te saputrasya na vidyate | yat tu jñātivimarde ’sminn āttha duryodhana prati ||

آپ میں اور آپ کے بیٹے میں نہایت باریک سا بھی فریب یا جھوٹ موجود نہیں۔ مگر اس قرابت داروں کی کشمکش میں دُریودھن کے بارے میں آپ نے جو بات کہی تھی، وہی اس گھڑی کے اخلاقی تناؤ کو اور گہرا کر رہی ہے۔
