Bhīma’s Harsh Speech Heard by Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Gāndhārī
सो<यं मयाभ्यनुज्ञातस्त्वया च पृथिवीपति: । करोतु स्वमभिप्रायं मास्य विध्नकरो भव,“अत: अब ये भूपाल मेरी और तुम्हारी अनुमति लेकर तपस्याके द्वारा अपना मनोरथ सिद्ध करें। इनके शुभ कार्यमें विघ्न न डालो
so 'yaṃ mayābhyanujñātas tvayā ca pṛthivīpatiḥ | karotu svam abhiprāyaṃ māsy vighnakaro bhava ||
وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا—“یہ زمین کا بادشاہ میری اور تمہاری اجازت پا چکا ہے۔ اسے اپنے ارادے کو پورا کرنے دو؛ اس کے نیک کام میں تم رکاوٹ نہ بنو۔”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When a righteous course has been duly authorized, one should not obstruct it; dharma includes supporting (or at least not hindering) another’s legitimate, auspicious resolve—especially in matters of renunciation and tapas.
Vaiśampāyana reports that a king has received permission from the relevant authorities (the speaker and the addressed party) to proceed with his intended undertaking, and the addressed party is instructed not to create obstacles to the king’s auspicious purpose.
