वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic stewardship: wealth and resources (food, transport, clothing, valuables, and livestock) are to be organized for rightful purposes—supporting duty, dependents, and hospitality—especially when life is moving toward austerity and withdrawal.
The narrator lists the items that were arranged—provisions, conveyances, coverings, valuables, servants, and livestock—indicating a deliberate preparation of material support or gifts as part of the unfolding events in the Āśramavāsika context.
