Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्

एका तिष्ठसि का च त्वं कस्यार्थे कि प्रयोजनम्‌ । पद्मिनीतीरमाश्रित्य ब्रूहि त्वं किं चिकीर्षसि,“अरी! तू कौन है और किसलिये यहाँ अकेली खड़ी है? यहाँ तेरे आनेका क्या प्रयोजन है? इस सरोवरके तटपर रहकर तू कौन-सा कार्य सिद्ध करना चाहती है?”

ekā tiṣṭhasi kā ca tvaṃ kasyārthe ki prayojanam | padminītīram āśritya brūhi tvaṃ kiṃ cikīrṣasi ||

بھیشم نے کہا—“تو کون ہے جو یہاں بالکل اکیلی کھڑی ہے، اور کس کے لیے یہاں آئی ہے؟ اس جگہ آنے کا تیرا کیا مقصد ہے؟ کنولوں سے بھرے اس تالاب کے کنارے پناہ لے کر بتا—تو کیا کام پورا کرنا چاہتی ہے؟”
