वसिष्ठ उवाच
The verse elevates Śiva as the cosmic ground who sustains all time—past, present, and future—while also affirming the sanctity of Vedic revelation (Vedas with Upaniṣads), spiritual knowledge (vidyā), and the Sāvitrī/Gāyatrī tradition as converging in the divine presence.
Vasiṣṭha describes a sacred scene where the highest scriptural authorities (Vedas and Upaniṣads), embodied knowledge (vidyā), and Sāvitrī are present, and he portrays Śiva as encompassing the entire flow of time, underscoring Śiva’s supreme, all-sustaining status.
