एवं गोशकृतः: पुत्र माहात्म्यं तेडनुवर्णितम् । माहात्म्यं च गवां भूय: श्रूयतां गदतो मम,बेटा! इस तरह मैंने तुमसे गोबरका माहात्म्य बतलाया है। अब पुनः गौओंका माहात्म्य बतला रहा हूँ, सुनो
evaṁ gośakṛtaḥ putra māhātmyaṁ te ’nuvārṇitam | māhātmyaṁ ca gavāṁ bhūyaḥ śrūyatāṁ gadato mama, vatsa ||
بیٹے! اس طرح میں نے تمہیں گو شَکرت (گوبر) کی عظمت بیان کی۔ اب میں پھر گایوں ہی کی زیادہ بڑی عظمت بیان کرتا ہوں—میری بات سنو۔
