This line is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter focused on dāna-dharma, specifically go-pradāna (donating cows). It signals that the preceding discourse should be read as a coherent ethical instruction on righteous giving and its religious-social value.
Bhīṣma’s instruction concludes a chapter; the text formally closes the unit by naming the larger book (Anuśāsana Parva), the thematic section (dāna-dharma), the specific topic (go-pradāna), and the chapter number (80th).
