यज्ञशूरा दमे शूरा: सत्यशूरास्तथापरे । युद्धशूरास्तथैवोक्ता दानशूराश्ष मानवा:
bhīṣma uvāca | yajñaśūrā dame śūrāḥ satyaśūrās tathāpare | yuddhaśūrās tathaivoktā dānaśūrāś ca mānavāḥ | (buddhiśūrās tathā cānye kṣamāśūrās tathā pare) |
بھیشم نے کہا—انسانوں میں کچھ یَجْنَہ کے سور ہیں؛ کچھ حواس کو قابو میں رکھنے میں دلیر ہونے کے سبب دَم شُور کہلاتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح کچھ سَتْیَ شُور، کچھ یُدھ شُور، کچھ دان شُور؛ اور کچھ بُدھی شُور اور کچھ کْشَما شُور کہے جاتے ہیں۔
