Phala of Vrata, Niyama, Svādhyāya, Dama, Satya, Brahmacarya, and Service (व्रत-नियम-स्वाध्याय-दम-सत्य-ब्रह्मचर्य-शुश्रूषा-फलप्रश्नः)

ततस्त्वहं तं शनकैरवोचं वृतः सदस्यैरभिपूज्यमान: । प्राप्तो5स्मि ते विषयं धर्मराज लोकानहों यानहं तान्‌ विधत्स्व,“तब सब सदस्योंसे घिरकर उनके द्वारा पूजित होते हुए मैंने वैवस्वत यमसे धीरेसे कहा --'धर्मराज! मैं आपके राज्यमें आया हूँ; मैं जिन लोकोंमें जानेके योग्य होऊँ, उनमें जानेके लिये मुझे आज्ञा दीजिये"

tatastvahaṃ taṃ śanakairavocaṃ vṛtaḥ sadasyairabhipūjyamānaḥ | prāpto'smi te viṣayaṃ dharmarāja lokān aho yān ahaṃ tān vidhatsva ||

پھر میں، مجلس کے بزرگوں میں گھرا ہوا اور اُن کی تعظیم پاتا ہوا، آہستگی سے ویوَسوت یم سے بولا: “اے دھرم راج! میں آپ کے دائرۂ حکومت میں آیا ہوں؛ جن جن جہانوں کے لیے میں موزوں ہوں، مجھے اُنہی میں مقرر فرما دیجیے۔”
