Adhyāya 60: Dāna vs. Yajña—Royal Giving, Protection, and Karmic Share
tato yudhiṣṭhiraḥ prāha pāṇḍavān puruṣarṣabha | pitāmahasya yad vākyaṃ tad vo rocatv iti prabhuḥ ||
Dharmic instruction should be received with reverence and a willing mind—especially when it comes from an elder and moral authority like Bhīṣma; Yudhiṣṭhira urges assent rather than resistance.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Yudhiṣṭhira turns to his brothers and encourages them to accept and approve the counsel given by the grandsire Bhīṣma, setting a tone of respectful listening to ethical guidance.
