Cyavana–Kuśika Dialogue on Lineage, Conflict, and Transmission
तथैव च स राजर्षिस्तस्थौ तां रजनीं तदा । सभार्यों वाग्यत: श्रीमानू न च कोपं समाविशत्
tathaiva ca sa rājarṣis tasthau tāṃ rajanīṃ tadā | sa-bhāryo vāg-yataḥ śrīmān na ca kopaṃ samāviśat ||
اسی طرح وہ باجلال راجرشی اپنی بیوی کے ساتھ وہاں پوری رات گفتار کو قابو میں رکھ کر کھڑا رہا؛ مگر اس کے دل میں غضب کا کوئی جوش نہ اٹھا۔
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights kṣānti and self-mastery: even under strain, an ideal ruler-sage restrains speech and refuses to let anger take hold, showing that inner discipline is a mark of true nobility and dharma.
Bhishma describes a royal sage who, along with his wife, spends the entire night standing silently in the same place, maintaining composure and not succumbing to anger.
