च्यवन उवाच राजन्‌ नाहंम्यहं कोटिं भूयो वापि महाद्युते । सदृशं दीयतां मूल्यं ब्राह्मणैः सह चिन्तय

cyavana uvāca rājann nāhamya-haṁ koṭiṁ bhūyo vāpi mahādyute | sadṛśaṁ dīyatāṁ mūlyaṁ brāhmaṇaiḥ saha cintaya ||

چَیون نے کہا—“اے راجن، اے صاحبِ جلال! میں ایک کروڑ—یا اس سے بھی زیادہ—مُدرا کے بدلے فروخت ہونے والا نہیں۔ جو موزوں معاوضہ ہو وہی ادا کرو، اور اس پر برہمنوں کے ساتھ مشورہ کرو۔”
