स तीक3्षणविषदिग्धेन शरेणातिबलात् क्षतः । उत्सृज्य फलपत्राणि पादप: शोषमागत:,तीखे विषसे पुष्ट हुए उस बाणसे बड़े जोरका आघात लगनेके कारण उस वृक्षमें जहर फैल गया। उसके फल और पत्ते झड़ गये और धीरे-धीरे वह सूखने लगा
sa tīkṣṇaviṣadigdhena śareṇātibalāt kṣataḥ | utsṛjya phalapatrāṇi pādapaḥ śoṣam āgataḥ ||
تیز زہر میں بجھے ہوئے تیر کے سخت زور دار وار سے وہ درخت بری طرح زخمی ہو گیا۔ اس کے اندر زہر پھیل گیا؛ اس کے پھل اور پتے جھڑ گئے اور وہ آہستہ آہستہ سوکھنے لگا۔
