Varṇasaṃkara: Causes, Classifications, and Conduct-based Recognition (वर्णसंकरः—हेतु-जाति-आचारनिर्णयः)

स्वयंवृत्तेन सा$ऊज्ञप्ता पित्रा वै प्रत्यपद्यत । तत्‌ तस्यान्ये प्रशंसन्ति धर्मज्ञा नेतरे जना:,सावित्रीने पिताकी आज्ञा लेकर स्वयं चुने हुए पतिके साथ सम्बन्ध स्थापित किया था। उसके इस कार्यकी दूसरे धर्मज्ञ पुरुष प्रशंसा करते हैं; परंतु कुछ लोग नहीं भी करते हैं

svayaṃvṛttena sā ājñaptā pitrā vai pratyapadyata | tat tasyānye praśaṃsanti dharmajñā na itare janāḥ ||

باپ کے حکم سے اس نے اپنے منتخب کردہ طریقِ عمل کے مطابق قدم اٹھایا اور جو انجام ہوا اسے قبول کیا۔ جو لوگ دھرم کو جانتے ہیں وہ اس کے اس طرزِ عمل کی تعریف کرتے ہیں، مگر دوسرے لوگ نہیں کرتے۔
