Strī-satkāra (On honoring women) — Mahābhārata 13.46

विपुल उवाच ब्रह्मर्षे मिथुनं कि तत्‌ के च ते पुरुषा विभो । ये मां जानन्ति तत्त्वेन यन्मां त्वं परिपृच्छसि,विपुलने कहा--ब्रह्मर्षे! मैंने जिसे देखा था, वह स्त्री-पुरुषका जोड़ा कौन था? तथा वे छः पुरुष भी कौन थे जो मुझे अच्छी तरह जानते थे और जिनके विषयमें आप भी मुझसे पूछ रहे हैं?

vipula uvāca brahmarṣe mithunaṁ ki tat ke ca te puruṣā vibho | ye māṁ jānanti tattvena yan māṁ tvaṁ paripṛcchasi ||

وِپُل نے کہا—اے برہمرشی! وہ نر و ناری کا جوڑا کون تھا جسے میں نے دیکھا؟ اور اے صاحبِ قوت، وہ چھ مرد کون تھے جو مجھے حقیقتاً جانتے ہیں—جن کے بارے میں آپ مجھ سے پوچھ رہے ہیں؟
