Śakra–Śambara Saṃvāda: Brāhmaṇa-sevā, Anasūyā, and Vāg-bala (शक्रशम्बरसंवादः)

nāntam eṣāṁ prapaśyāmi na diśaś cāpy apāvṛtāḥ | kupitāḥ samudīkṣante dāveṣv agniśikhā iva

Educational Q&A

Uncontrolled anger multiplies without limit and blocks discernment in every direction; it spreads and consumes like a forest-fire, serving as an ethical warning to restrain krodha for the sake of dharma.

Bhīṣma describes a scene of overwhelming, furious force—so extensive that no end is visible and no direction seems clear—using the vivid image of flames in a forest-conflagration to convey the intensity and danger of the situation.
