मही प्रचलिता चासीत्‌ तस्य सत्येन कर्मणा । सारा शुभ्र आकाश सब ओससे मेघोंद्वारा आच्छादित हो गया। उनके सत्यकर्मके प्रभावसे पृथ्वी काँपने लगी

mahī pracalitā cāsīt tasya satyena karmaṇā |

اُن کے صدق سے بھرپور عمل کی قوت سے خود زمین لرز اٹھی اور جنبش میں آ گئی۔ یہ حکایت دھرم کے ایک بنیادی اصول کو نمایاں کرتی ہے کہ ستیہ (سچائی)، جب ثابت قدم عمل بن جائے، تو محض ذاتی فضیلت نہیں رہتی بلکہ عالم کے نظام پر بھی اثر انداز ہونے والی قوت بن جاتی ہے۔
