On Those Worthy of Honor and Salutation
अन््यं वरं वृणीष्व त्वं दुर्लभो5यं हि ते वर: । अत: जिनका मन अपने वशमें नहीं है
śakra uvāca | anyaṃ varaṃ vṛṇīṣva tvaṃ durlabho ’yaṃ hi te varaḥ |
شکر نے کہا—تم کوئی اور ور مانگو؛ یہ ور جو تم چاہتے ہو، تمہارے لیے یقیناً دشوار و نایاب ہے۔ اس لیے جن کا دل و دماغ اپنے قابو میں نہیں، ان کے لیے برہمنیت سراسر ناقابلِ حصول ہے؛ اس اصرار کو چھوڑ کر کوئی دوسرا ور طلب کرو۔
