न सुतैर्न च वित्तेन कर्मणा न च तत्फलम्‌ | प्राप्तुयात्‌ पुरुषो&त्यन्तं गड्जां प्राप्प यदाप्रुयात्‌

na sutair na ca vittena karmaṇā na ca tatphalam | prāptuyāt puruṣo ’tyantaṃ gaṅgāṃ prāpya yad āpnuyāt ||

انسان گنگا تک پہنچ کر وہاں غسل سے جو اعلیٰ و لازوال پھل پاتا ہے، وہ نہ بیٹوں سے، نہ دولت سے، اور نہ کسی عمل اور اس کے صلے سے پوری طرح حاصل کر سکتا ہے۔
