Mataṅga–Gardabhī Itihāsa
काम॑ क्रोधं च लोभं च यो जित्वा तीर्थमावसेत् । न तेन किज्विन्न प्राप्त तीर्थाभिगमनाद् भवेत्
kāmaṁ krodhaṁ ca lobhaṁ ca yo jitvā tīrtham āvaset | na tena kiñcid aprāptaṁ tīrthābhigamanād bhavet ||
جو خواہش، غصہ اور لالچ کو فتح کر کے تیرتھ میں قیام کرے، تیرتھ کی یاترا کے پُنّیہ سے اس کے لیے کوئی چیز بھی ناقابلِ حصول نہیں رہتی۔
अजड्रिय उवाच
Pilgrimage bears its highest fruit when one has first mastered the inner foes—desire, anger, and greed. External sacred travel is presented as truly efficacious only when supported by inner discipline and moral restraint.
